Director of Family Ministries - Part Time

This half-time position will faithfully oversee all aspects of ministry with children, youth and their families at White Rock United Methodist Church. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Senior Pastor to develop meaningful programming that embodies diverse expressions, vibrancy, and creativity in telling the Gospel story to children, youth, and their families. This position will also work closely with staff to oversee multiple program ministries at the church including but not limited to mission work, adult education, confirmation, and Sunday School.

White Rock UMC is a growing congregation located in one of the most unique and developing neighborhoods in Dallas with an average weekly worship attendance of 195.   • Have experience working with children and youth

  • Display willingness to teach

  • Have a high ability to listen to and develop solutions to the needs of our families

  • Be willing to engage traditional program models and adapt them to our current context

  • Possess a strong desire to introduce new curriculum, new ideas and new ministries focused on our children, youth, and their families

  • Possess strong organizational skills and time management

  • Have an ability to integrate into a diverse, emerging community in East Dallas

  • Possess a collaborative spirit with other staff members and programs within the church

  •  Current enrollment in seminary or a completed seminary degree is a plus
