Holiday Toy Drive
|
|
Each year White Rock UMC takes part in the Community Partners of Dallas Holiday Toy Drive. Community Partners of Dallas provides gifts for some of the 4,000 children involved in the Child Protective Services system in Dallas County.
In 2006, White Rock Methodist Church collected over 800 toys to brighten the faces of 500 children on Christmas.
Volunteers were overwhelmed with the amount of gifts collected for the children.
Community Partners of Dallas operates six programs, all designed to assist the caseworkers of Dallas County Child Protective Services in providing the resources and support to the families that they work with to reduce the risk or even eliminate child abuse and neglect.
